    Careers at Athens Retina Center

    Athens Retina Center is a state-of-the-art specialty ophthalmology practice located in Northeast Georgia with an office based in Athens, GA and satellite locations in Greensboro and Cornelia.  The practice was started in 2007. Our physicians are recognized as area leaders in retinal care and treat many retinal disorders. We pride ourselves on providing our patients with advanced, altruistic care using the most up-to-date equipment and procedures.

    Our staff is among the best in the business.  We offer full-time, part-time, flex time, and intern positions.  Athens Retina Center prides itself on continual growth, learning and advancement.  As a member of the ARC team, you will receive hands-on experience and learn from dedicated, ethical doctors.  ARC depends on team work for the office to function with the highest efficiency and to provide comprehensive, compassionate care to every patient.

    Athens Retina Center believes in giving back to the community that we live and work in.  As a team, we participate in an ARC “Serve Day” every year on Martin Luther King Day and pick a different cause each year.  ARC also participates in donations to PEACE Place, Project Safe, The Salvation Army and many other organizations in order to serve our community.

    Athens Retina Center offers full-time and part-time positions as well as flex-time positions and paid internships.     Benefits

    Full Time Employees

    Employees who work 38-40 hours/week.  Benefits for full-time employees include 100% company paid medical coverage, 50% company paid dental coverage, employee paid vision coverage, 401(k) – ARC contributes 3% – no employee contribution required, excellent Paid time off program, Paid Holidays, Bonuses, Profit Sharing up to 5.7%

    Flex Time Employees

    Employees who work a minimum number of hours per week but less than full-time. Benefits for flex-time employees include flexible days/hours per week, half-day holiday pay, 401(k), paid holidays, paid time off

    Part Time Employees

    Employees who work around 24 or less hours per week depending on clinic volume and schedule.  Part time employees are eligible for 401(k) after 1 year and 1,200 hours worked.

    Interns

    At Athens Retina Center, interns are generally pre-health students working to gain knowledge and experience in the medical field. Interns at ARC have access to educational environment with hands on experience, up to date office equipment, and the opportunity to work with dedicated, professional, ethical doctors and staff to help them work toward their educational and career goals. Interns are eligible for 401(k) after 1 year and 1,200 hours worked and receive paid holidays as well.
